Parisa Badiyi

Violinist & educator

Parisa Badiyi was born in Tehran.
Although she began playing the piano in her early childhood, she entered the Music Conservatory of Tehran, where she studied European classical violin performance.
In 1979, Parisa and her family moved to the Netherlands where she was able to continue her education and graduate from the Music Conservatory of the Northern Netherlands.
She won a youth violin competition and participated as first violinist in different symphony orchestras during her studies.
Moreover, Parisa, daughter of the well-known violinist Rahmatollah Badiyi has studied Persian classical music (radif) on violin and – due to her beautifully soft singing voice – Persian traditional singing (áváz) under the guidance of her father.
Since 1992 she has successfully performed on concerts in North and South America, Australia and Europe.
In Addition to giving concerts, Parisa is recording CDs coming with a book (6 published volumes) on violin teaching and learning methods for Persian music, which are available in Iran.
Furthermore, she devoted herself to advanced training in different teaching methods such as Suzuki*, ColourStrings* and Paul Rolland Method*
At present, Parisa lives in Germany and is working in musical schools as music educator for violin and piano and persian music*.
